COMELEC Dagupan fields 1,152 teachers for BSK election
THERE is no shortage of teachers who will serve as Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections on October 2023.
This was assured by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC)–Dagupan City which is finalizing the list of 1,152 teachers public school teachers who will be tasked to compose the BEIs in the city’s polls.
According to Atty. Michael Franks Sarmiento, Dagupan City Election Officer, the identity and status of the public school teachers is being verified before they undergo training on their duties and responsibilities on Election Day.
More teachers will be required than the national elections last 2022 because the BSKE will be conducted manually. (Ahikam Pasion)
