THE Dagupan City government was honored by Vice President Sara Duterte after the city was cited for its accomplishments under the Office of the Vice President’s Pasidungog Awards program’s Special Projects category.

Mayor Belen Fernandez received the plaque of appreciation from the Vice President during the Pasidungog 2023 held at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila in Pasay City “in recognition of the City Government of Dagupan’s contribution to the vision of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) to reach, serve and create lasting impact on the lives of Filipinos.”

Mayor Fernandez was joined by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Rowena Banzon and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Marciano Soriano Jr.

The Pasidungog, Visayan for ‘to give honor’, recognizes government agencies and private sectors that help the OVP achieve its goal to reach out to Filipinos and ensure their welfare and it is also given to individuals who exhibit exemplary behavior in accordance with the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
