12 vendors’ stalls gutted in Aguilar private market

TWELVE stalls of vendors in a public market along the national highway in Barangay Pogonsili, Aguilar went up in smoke in a more than two-hour fire that broke out at about 10:50 p.m. on June 14, according to the Aguilar police.

John Kevin Pelaez, 29, security guard of a rice mill in front of the private market, told the Aguilar police that he saw the blaze started at the north side area of the public market and quickly spread to other areas of the structure.

The Bureau  of Fire Protection of Aguilar declared the blaze under control at 12:10 a.m. on June 15.

The local BFP is still investigating the cause of the fire. (Leonardo Micua)
