No private armed group in Pangasinan-PNP

THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) has assured that there is no Private Armed Group (PAG) operating in Pangasinan.

P/Captain Renan de la Cruz, PPPO Information officer, gave the assurance amid the admission of the PNP national headquarters that there are 48 PAGs being monitored throughout the country.

De la Cruz said though there is no PAG in the province, the Pangasinan PNP is continuously undertaking its surveillance and intelligence monitoring any armed group that may enter the province in order to support candidates can be stopped immediately.

 Alert versus leptospirosis sounded anew 

DAGUPAN residents are warned by the City Heath Office of being infected by leptospirosis amid the daily occurrence of  flooding during high tide when they walk through floodwaters.

The Dagupan City government advised residents to wear high rain boots and to take prophylaxis medicine when he or she has an open wound.

Leptospirosis is caused by urine of rats that found in floodwater.

 “Antay Kiss” campaign launched in Bayambang

THE Rural Health Unit of Bayambang launched the “Antay Kiss Campaign” to avert rising number of teenage pregnancy and cases of suicides in the town.

The information, education and communications program focuses on teenage pregnancy, STD/HIV, COVID-19 and mental health, attended by 712 high school students, from Grade 9 to 12.

The series of EIC forum include intervention measures, and counseling sessions for 245 high school students of the town. Some of students admitted that among the causes of teenage pregnancy and suicide include domestic problems at home and high expectation of parents on their children getting higher scholastic grades.
