Mapandan seeks sustainable, cleaner and fresher environment 

MAPANDAN is considering to buy an equipment from a Korean company to help address its problem on garbage disposal.

The plan to purchase a machinery from Il Heung Hu-Tech Inc. that developed machineries that  can convert wastes into useful matters was decided by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office of Mapandan who attended a presentation by the company in Alcala town last week.  (Jhon Caranto)

Signages installed in Urdaneta to minimize accidents

TO reduce vehicular accidents in the city, the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) of Urdaneta installed signages in all accident-prone areas in the city’s highways.

Urdaneta POSO Chief Francisco Serafica told IFM Dagupan that police records show 15 vehicular accidents in January to March 2023 alone and putting up more signages can help prevent vehicular accidents particularly along the new by-pass road in the city. (Jhon Caranto)

Free ear checkup for tots held in Sta. Barbara 

IN observance of the World Hearing Day this month of March, a free ear checkup for children was launched at the Minien-Tebag Elementary School in  Sta. Barbara in partnership with Region 1 Medical Center’s Department of Otorhinolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery.

Aside from giving free ear checkup, the R1MC EENT health program team conducted an information-education lecture to community residents on EENT proper care.
The activity was joined by members of the Pangasinan Medical Society, Philippine Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery North Luzon Chapter, and R1MC Gender and Development-Hospital Center for Wellness Program. (Jhon Caranto)

Free eye clinic by R1MC in Binalonan

A FREE eye check up courtesy of the Region 1 Medical Center and the Pangasinan provincial government benefited 204 residents of various barangays of Binalonan, 116 patients of whom underwent operations due to different eye issues.

Those who availed of free eye check were diagnosed to be suffering from cataract and glaucoma in their eyes and the medical mission saved them paying costly medical treatment and operation. (Jhon Caranto)

LTO San Carlos City celebrates Women’s Month

IN celebration of the Women’s Month this month of March, women employees of Land Transportation Office in San Carlos City headed by their chief Aileen Peteros held their own activity that gave accent to the roles of women in society.

Graced by Mark Espinoza, station manager of IFM Dagupan, the agency gave flowers to female clients in recognition of the important contributions of women to the society as the  Women LTO staff called for more women empowerment and recognition for their awesome efforts to help build homes and stronger society together with their men.

1,000 CVOs receives amelioration benefit

SOME 1,000 members of Civilian Volunteer Organization (CVO) from Bayambang received their amelioration benefit from the Pangasinan provincial government.

The recipients from 77 barangays of Bayambang received P1,000 cash as amelioration benefit during distribution of amelioration benefit was held at Pavillon 1 of St. Vincent Ferrer Prayer Park. (Jana de Vera)

One-Stop shop for renewal of firearm licenses held

A ONE-STOP shop for the processing and renewal of license of firearms was held in Rosales town last week, courtesy of the Rosales local government Rosales, PNP Rosales and the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office.

The Regional Civil Security Unit 1 spearheaded the conduct of  One-Stop-Shop Processing and Renewal of  License To Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) and Firearms License Registration Caravan. (Jhon Cranto)
