R1MC’S Dr. Mejia belies suspension status
REGION 1 Medical Center Chief Dr. Joseph Roland Mejia has belied rumors circulating that he has been suspended and relieved of his position as hospital head.
In an interview with Mejia on Wednesday, February 8, Mejia asserted that the allegations and rumors circulating are not true, and is a demolition job against him.
Mejia declared that he is in no way involved in cases that could lead to his suspension.
The hospital chief said he was able to identify the alleged perpetrator behind the circulating fake news – a former hospital staff.
He, however, did not name the suspected rumormonger.
Mejia claimed any attempts to besmirch his name will fail, as he was properly doing his job as hospital chief citing an award on special Performance Governance System that R1MC recently received, ranking second only to the Philippine Heart Center.
In fact, he said only the R1MC and PHC were the recipients of the award.
The PGS refers to the government’s standard imposed on government agencies or institutions to be backed with concrete realization of their vision and mission. (Ahikam Pasion)
