Mayor Belen sees Dagupan drug-cleared before end of 2023
ONLY four barangays in Dagupan City, out of 31 barangays, are drug-cleared today but Mayor Belen Fernandez expressed confidence that all the city’s barangays will be drug-cleared before the year ends.
She made the commitment after she and some city officials inspected the building that will house the future ‘Balay Silangan’ in the city that will serve as a reformation facility for drug dependents
The Balay Silangan Reformation Program instituted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency requires the establishment of a Balay Silangan in a town or city before it can be declared ‘drug-cleared.”
The early establishment of a ‘Balay Silangan” in any town or city facilitates the process of PDEA to issue the certification that a town or city is finally drug-cleared. (104.7IFM Dagupan Rona Racca)
