SP confirms appointment of two new provincial department heads
THE Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) recently confirmed the appointments of the heads of the Provincial Engineering Office and Provincial Employment Services by Governor Ramon Guico III.
In separate resolutions proposed by Fourth District Board Member Jerry Agerico Rosario, the SP confirmed the appointments of Amadeo Veras as provincial engineer and Richelle Raguindin as provincial employment services officer.
Veras, a native of San Fabian, took the position vacated by then Provincial Engineer Antonette de los Santos who resigned, while Raguindin, a native of Binalonan, succeeded then PESO chief Alex Ferrer, who retired.
Both Veras and Raguindin rose from the ranks in their respective offices.
Veras started as an engineering aide of the Provincial Engineering Office in 1983, a position he held right after passing the civil engineering board, one year after he graduated from the University of Pangasinan.
His last position was Engineer II assigned as Project Engineer for the First District and previously for the Fourth District.
On the other hand, Raguindin started to work at PESO in 1993 as Clerk ll and rose to the position of Supervising Labor and Employment officer.
Ragundin, mother of two, has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Development Management, major in Public Management. (Leonardo Micua)
