BJMP Dagupan set to restore F-2-F visitation soon
GOOD news for families of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs)!
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)–Dagupan will restore normal visitation activities soon.
J/Superintendent Roque Sison, BJMP Dagupan jail warden, said it is time to consider restoring the normal visitation conditions since the Covid situation is already beginning to normalize.
He said plastic barriers will be taken down so the PDLs and their visitors can talk to each other more comfortably.
During the pandemic, BJMP Dagupan only allowed E-Dalaw, or online visitation.
“Gumaganda na ang kalagayan natin kaya ipapatupad na rin ang face to face contact visitation, makakapag-usap na yung inmate at bisita”, Sison said in an interview Thursday, November 24.
It will be recalled that visitation in the BJMP premises have been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the visitations soon to be restored, Sison reminded visitors that basic health protocols will still be strictly enforced. “Mahigpit po nating ipapatupad ang pagsusuot ng facemask”, he said.
The visitors will still be processed through the triage system, i.e., body temperature will be checked, presentation of vaccination card will be required and will be subjected to the usual security procedure, i.e., proof of identification, body-search and inspection of hand-carried items.
Last Thursday, the BJMP held a dry run on the restored face-to-face contact visitation. (Ahikam Passion)
