Pangasinan PNP gears up for December BSKE
THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) is gearing up for the December 5 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.
P/Major Ria Tacderan, PPPO Public Information Officer, said conferences are regularly led by P/Colonel Jeff Fanged, provincial director, to maximize the security and police personnel tasked to secure polling sites.
The PNP and LGUs have begun close coordination to ensure that proper protocols are implemented on election day.
Tacderan said the number of police personnel for the mission remains manageable but request for augmentation may be done before the election proper depending on the political situation.
The filing of certificates of candidacy for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan aspirants will be on October 6-13 while the election gun ban will begin on October 6, and will end on December 12.
Campaign period will begin on November 25, and will end on December 3. (Ahikam Pasion)
