‘No-swimming’ rule enforced in Tondaligan Beach
PREVENTIVE, SAFETY MEASURE
EVEN if Super Typhoon Hinnamnor (Henry) was eventually not forecasted to hit Pangasinan last weekend, Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez ordered a ‘No-Swimming’ rule at the Tondaligan Beach as a preventive safety measure.
Tondaligan Park Administrator Albert Gregorio said beachgoers, vendors, and fishermen were directed off the beach.
It will be recalled that several drowned in beaches and rivers when they ignored warnings during a typhoon.
PAGASA had warned of cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and local thunderstorms in Northern Luzon, including Pangasinan, due to the super typhoon, with dragging with it the southwest monsoon. (Ahikam Pasion)
