Face masks should remain until more get booster shots – PHO

By September 18, 2022Inside News

FACE masks should still remain in use whether outdoor or indoor by the people until 50 percent of its population receives booster shots for COVID-19.

This is the condition recommended by Dr. Anna de Guzman, provincial health officer, in reaction to the move to make the wearing of the mask in open places only optional.

De Guzman said she is not objecting to the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task  Force for the Management of Emerging  Infectious Diseases, but wants to see the province first to have 50% of its population vaccinated with booster shots.

To date, the province of Pangasinan has only recorded 21% of its people vaccinated with booster shots. (104.7 IFM Dagupan)
