PINASLAKAS CAMPAIGN

THE “PinasLakas” Booster Vaccination was launched in Alaminos City with more than 200 residents that took their booster shots in the presence of Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Carol Taino and Ilocos Regional Director Paula Paz Sydiongco together with the local government and city health officials.

“We are overwhelmed by the support of Alaminians to the “PinasLakas” Booster Program of the government. The large number of people who voluntarily came to be vaccinated today only shows that they are ready to resume pre-pandemic activities, such as dropping COVID precautions including the removal of facemasks,” Undersecretary Taino said.

For the PinasLakas Campaign, Alaminos City needs to vaccinate 35,965 or 50% of 12 years old and above. As of September 2, 2022, only 19% were boosted and a total of 21,821 still needs to be provided with booster shots.

Director Sydiongco expressed her gratitude for the support of the Alaminos City government and urged everyone to encourage their family members to get their free booster shots.

All local government units in the region are regularly conducting vaccination schedules in all public areas including malls, marketplaces, covered courts and house-to-house visits to make booster shots accessible and available to the public. (DOH 1)
