Speeding motorcycle rider crashes on truck pickup, dies
A 22-year-old motorcycle-riding man died after he crashed head-on with a truck in Barangay Poblacion West, Umingan on Monday, August 8.
Victim Jomar Ariza, resident of Barangay Diket, was traversing the highway’s intersection, when he crashed into the Ford Ranger pickup driven by construction worker Rico Yan Vendiola, 20, of Barangay Cabaruan, from the same town.
Investigation showed that both vehicles were rushing to cross the intersection when the incident happened.
Victim Ariza sustained serious head injuries, and was rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead. Vendiola was unharmed. (Ahikam Pasion)
