Mayor Belen creates Task Force COVID-19

MASSIVE VACCINATION IN BARANGAYS

DAGUPAN City Mayor Belen Fernandez issued Executive Order No. 10 that created Task Force COVID-19 to oversee the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination program in  the city and curb the number of cases.

With her as chairperson, Mayor Fernandez appointed as members are Councilor Dennis Canto, City Health Officer Dr. Ophelia Rivera, Dagupan PNP-OIC P/Lt. Vicente Castor Jr., Anti-Littering head Christopher Beltran, POSO Chief Arvin Decano, City Social Welfare Officer-in-Charge Irene Ferrer, CDRRMO Head Ronaldo de Guzman, ABC president Marcelino Fernandez, SK president/Councilor Joshua Bugayong and DILG Operations Officer Romarie Soriano.

Among the TF’s functions are to direct: 1)Mandatory and proper wearing of face masks by individuals outdoors/ indoors in private/ public establishments, and in public transportation by land and sea. 2) Implementation of national protocols in the proper use, handling and disposing appropriate personal protective equipment by all establishments;. and, 3) Formulate an evidence-based, comprehensive preparedness plan to control, prevent, and mitigate the occurrence of COVID-19 in the city.

It will also oversee the registration of residents in the KonSulTa (Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama) program of PhilHealth.

Mayor Fernandez has set an initial target of 50,000 beneficiaries for the KonSulTa program in the city.

To encourage unvaccinated Dagupeños to receive their COVID-19 vaccination, the city government will provide medical checkups from the City Health Office and free haircuts courtesy of Dagupan Lesbians and Gays Association.  (CIO)
