High tide slows down traffic on Dagupan streets

By August 14, 2022Inside News

HIGH tide during the past three days slowed down traffic along major thoroughfares in Dagupan, according to the Public Order and Safety Office  (POSO).

Arvin Decano, POSO chief, told IFM Dagupan, that because of the high tide, at least 1.9 meter on August 10, 1.8 meter on August 11 and 2. 0 meters on August 12, vehicles on the streets were moving at a snail’s pace.

He said students going to school at various universities were seen being forced to wade in one-foot deep of floodwater to reach their respective campuses.

Fortunately, floodwaters receded quickly unlike in the past and this restored normal flow of traffic. (104.7 IFM-Dagupan)
