COVID-19 further soars in Region 1
THE Department of Health- Center for Health Development 1 confirmed that more COVID-19 active cases were reported in the Ilocos Region.
Dr. Rheuel Bobis, COVID-19 focal person in Region 1, revealed that as of August 18, the region already logged 1,500 confirmed active COVID-19 cases, and 150 are new.
The cases were registered in the provinces of Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte and Dagupan City.
Bobis, however, said there is no cause for alarm because although the active cases continue to soar, Region 1 remains a low risk in hospital utilization rate, and so far no casualty was reported. (104.7 IFM-Dagupan)
