420,000 learners enrolled in Region 1
THE Policy Planning and Research of the Department of Education Regional Office 1 confirmed that some 420,000 learners have been enrolled throughout Region 1 for school year 2022-2023.
Its data showed that 24,313 learners enrolled in kindergarten, 172,463 in the elementary, 147,870 in the junior high school and 75,111 in the senior high school.
DepEd Region 1 said the opening of school slated on August 22 will proceed on schedule despite the damages suffered by some schools in some parts of the region on account of the Magnitude 7 earthquake last July 27. (104.7 IFM-Dagupan)
