Truck hits woman, crushes left leg
A woman is in a critical condition after she was hit by a delivery truck along the de Venecia Highway in Dagupan City Tuesday afternoon, July 12.
Victim Jennifer Solano, of legal age, resident of Barangay Lucao in Dagupan City, whose leg was crushed, was rushed to Region 1 Medical Center, while truck driver Charlemagne Vargas, resident of Lipit Norte, Manaoag, is under police custody.
According to P/ Lt. Joy Salvador of the Dagupan City PNP, the victim and her husband Jeffrey were onboard a motorcycle on their way home, when Vargas overtook the couple and accidentally sideswiping their motorcycle.
The couple were thrown off their motorcycle, as Jennifer’s left leg was stuck and crushed under the truck. Husband Jeffrey sustained minor injuries. (Ahikam Pasison)
