LGU ambulance hits pedestrian
AN ambulance owned by the LGU Binalonan hit a pedestrian while rushing a patient along Barangay Capaoay, San Jacinto town on Friday, July 8.
Investigation showed the victim, Marties Hiquiana, 49, and a resident of said area, suddenly crossed the street that resulted in her being hit by the ambulance being driven by Neil Servitillo, 46, resident of Barangay Linmansangan, Binalonan.
Eyewitness Edwardo Legados, San Jacinto traffic enforcer, the ambulance was rushing and overtook another vehicle which temporarily stopped to give way, but Hiquiana suddenly crossed the street that blindsided Servitillo.
Hiquiana was hit and sustained injuries all over her body. She was then rushed to Region 1 Medical Center. (Ahikam Pasion)
