Unvaxxed six-year-old boy dies from COVID
THE worst is far from over.
A six-year-old boy in Mangaldan town died recently from COVID-19.
This was confirmed by Dr. Racquel Ogoy, municipal health officer, who confirmed that the victim, a resident of Barangay Malabago, was not administered the anti-COVID vaccine.
Ogoy said the child’s parents rushed the boy to the town’s Rural Health Unit on Monday, June 30, on seeing his stomach unusually bloated. He was rushed to the hospital the next day due to convulsion and difficulty in breathing. He was later declared dead.
The victim’s body had undergone a post-mortem examination, and the test on the swab of specimen confirmed that he was positive with COVID-19 infection.
The child is the 132nd COVID death in town, according to MHO records.
Ogoy urged the residents to be vaccinated because it will protect them from the ongoing pandemic. (Ahikam Pasion)
