Two sisters drown in Bolinao beach
A female student who tried to save her younger sister from drowning, drowned as well at Patar Beach in Barangay Patar, Bolinao on May 23.
Joyce Ann Partoriza, 21, a resident of Barangay Mayantoc, Nampicuan, Nueva Ecija was with her sister Jarianna Partoriza swimming when successive waves hit them and Jarianna was dragged to a deep portion of the beach.
Joyce Ann tried to rescue her but successive big waves hit resulting in both drowning.
Their companions, together with Barangay Rescue team recovered them and were immediately rushed to the Rillera Medical Hospital in Brgy. Germina but were both declared dead on arrival. (Eva Visperas)
