Team Caramat seeks investigation of alleged threats made
THE Team Caramat-Macanlalay in Calasiao strongly condemned all forms of threats, intimidation and exploitation of people especially during the election period.
In a statement posted on April 8 on Facebook by the Team Bangon Calasiao under Liga ng Barangay President Mamilyn “Maya” Caramat who is running for mayor, it urged the Philippine National Police and other law enforcement agencies to investigate an alleged threat recently made against a kagawad in Barangay Dinalaoan at the wife of a tanod in Barangay Ambonao.
Caramat’s team said it has been advocating and pushing for peace and order in Calasiao and for a clean and peaceful election on May 9.
“Kung sakali at may mga tao o grupo na gumagawa ng mga insidente upang ibintang o sirain ang imahe ng Team Caramat-Macanlalay, ipinapaubaya na lang namin ito sa Panginoong Diyos,” the statement said.
The group also urged their townmates in Calasiao ” to be vigilant so that truth will come out and not be misled by people whose intention is to accuse and destroy their rivals and fellow men.” (Eva Visperas)
