The twin nutritious delicacy is offered at the Always J Food House owned by Fajardan siblings.

The Fajardan siblings started their carinderia business selling their specialty- pinapaitan, sisig and adobo rabbit – in 2020.

Jeberlyn Fajardan says the various rabbit delicacies that sells from P60 to P70 only, has caught the fancy of health buffs because aside from its distinct taste, it is nutritious and beneficial to the body, a report shared by the Public Information Office of Asingan said.

She said it was her elder brother, Jensis Fajardan, who started raising rabbits in 2013.

She pointed out that aside from being able to cook various dishes with rabbit meat as one would with pork, chicken or beef meat, they decided to sell rabbit delicacies because of the health benefits it provides being a plant-eating animal.

The Department of Agriculture said that rabbit is the most nutritious among white meat because aside from its high protein content, it has low fat percentage and cholesterol.

It also has Omega 3 that lowers blood pressure and good for people with anemia because of its Vitamin B12.
