THE new four-lane bridge in Bugtong village along Camiling-Wawa-Bayambang-Malasiqui-Sta. Barbara Road is already passable for the convenience of Malasiqui residents and commuters in the area.

Esperanza Tinaza, information officer of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Ilocos, said the widening of P47.1 million Bugtong Bridge was implemented by DPWH-Fourth District Engineering Office headed by District Engineer Simplicio Gonzales.

According to Norma Jimenez, a resident of Bugtong, flooding during rainy season has reduced after the completion of the bridge while Michael Morales, also a resident from the said village, observed that there is been less vehicular accidents in the area.  (PIA Pangasinan/AMMB)
