90% of ballot boxes for Pangasinan arrive
BALLOT boxes to be used in 46 towns/cities in Pangasinan have arrived for the May 9, 2022 National and Local Elections.
Atty. Ericson Oganiza, provincial election supervisor, said he expects more ballot boxes to be utilized by two or three towns in the province to arrive soon.
He said he expects the remaining boxes to arrive together with the VCMs (vote counting machine) and the official ballots to be used in Pangasinan.
In the meantime, the ballot boxes and other election paraphernalia are kept in a hub in an undisclosed location.
Meanwhile, to further support awareness especially for first-time voters, the COMELEC has been doing a series of VCM Roadshows that include the demonstration of mock voting and putting their ballots in the VCM to make the public’s vote count.
The Comelec has issued a step-by-step guide on how to cast votes for the May 2022 polls. (Ahikam Pasion)
