SP asks DPWH to bare its projects in Dagupan for 2022
THE Dagupan Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) asked the Department of Public Works and Highway’s Second Engineering District to furnish the body a comprehensive report on public works projects to be implemented in Dagupan City this year.
This was contained in a resolution adopted by the SP during its special session on February 3 on motion of Councilor Karlos Reyna addressed to 2nd Highway District Engineer Edita Manuel.
Reyna said it is necessary to ask for a list of projects to be implemented by the DPWH in the city for year 2022 “to avoid duplication in funding the same projects”.
He said the list will assist the SP in evaluating the annual development plan in the proposed annual city budget of Dagupan City which the city hall still has to submit.
Under the local government code, the SP cannot discuss any other matter during its sessions till after the annual budget for the year is passed, except on matters related to the annual budget.
City Secretary Ryan Ravanzo said the special session was called by members of the majority in the city council with all city councilors attending and with members of the city’s local finance committee as resource persons. (Leonardo Micua)
