39 Pangasinan public schools participate in expanded phase of F2F classes

THE Ilocos Department of Education (DepEd Region 1) said that some 77 public schools in the region have started to participate in the expanded phase of face-to-face classes on Monday, Feb. 21.

In a virtual press conference, DepEd Region Policy Planning and Research Division Officer Pedro Jose Cudal said the schools are in addition to the previous 19 schools in the region to conduct pilot implementation of in-person classes in November last year.

Of these schools, 39 were from Pangasinan and 19 public basic education institutions were included from Alaminos City, and ten schools each from San Carlos City and Urdaneta City.

-Alaminos City Division: (Elementary) Balayang, Bisocol, Cabatuan , Longos,

Maawi, Magsaysay, Maliga,  Palamis, Pandan, Polo, Popantay, Jose, Tangcarang, Victoria;

(National HS) Alaminos City National High School, Alos, San Vicente, Telbang

And Pangapisan Integrated School

-San Carlos City Division: (Elementary) Tarectec ES, Parayao ES, Gamata ES, Abanon ES, Magtaking ES, Supo ES; (National HS) Malacañang, Bacnar, Mabalbalino and Speaker Eugenio Perez National Agricultural School (SEPNAS)

-Urdaneta City Division: (Elementary) Bolaoen, Bactad ,Cabaruan,Don Valentin M. Ordoñez, Labit East, Lananpin, Oltama,; (National HS) Casabula, Labit, Mariano Q. Umipig

Cudal said in the expansion phase, schools were validated as compliant with the standards of the School Safety Assessment Tool and located in areas under Alert Levels 1 and 2 based on the periodic risk assessment by the DOH.

Participating students are Kindergarten to Grade 12. (Jerick Pasiliao)
