AFTER a medical staff member of a Rural Health Units (RHU) in Calasiao tested positive for COVID-19, Mayor Joseph Arman Bauzon ordered the immediate lockdown of its two RHUs for five days.

Bauzon issued Executive Order No. 1 series of 2022, that directed the closure of Rural Health Units 1 and 2 from January 4 – 8, or until the Municipal IATF deems it safe to reopen.

“The temporary closure of RHUs I and II is required to prevent additional infection, to allow for contact tracing, and to allow adequate time for full cleaning of their structures,” the order said. (Ahikam Pasion)
