IT’S 3.55 percent more to go before the city government of San Carlos achieves the 70 percent herd immunity against COVID-19 among its identified eligible population for vaccination.

The City Information Office (CIO) said at 66.45 percent or 93,174 of its residents are already fully vaccinated as of Thursday, January 6 while persons who received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines are 76.41 percent or 107,133 individuals.

The City Health Office (CHO) rolled out its vaccination program last March 2021.

On the ramped up pediatric vaccination, the city government vaccinated 21,272 children, out of which 18,798 are fully vaccinated, accounting for 78.63 percent.

The city government continues to campaign for more unvaccinated residents to avail of the free inoculation at  the Rural Health Units. (Jerick Pasiliao)
