SAN CARLOS City Mayor Julier Resuello directed barangay officials to immediately report cases of COVID-19 that are being monitored in their areas to the city health office.

In a Facebook post last Tuesday, Resuello said barangay officials must closely monitor their constituents’ status particularly those who are under home quarantine to make sure they don’t leave their homes to prevent transmission of the dreaded virus and are provided assistance when requiring foods and medicines.

Resuello said barangay officials are considered the first responders in their areas and the city government in turn will provide the needed support in logistics.

The city mayor appealed for the cooperation of the city residents by strictly complying with the minimum health and safety protocols to avoid contracting the virus.

Meanwhile, the city government issued guidelines for the implementation of the general community quarantine with heightened restrictions in the province. (Jerick Pasiliao)
