THE San Carlos City government achieved the highest single-day vaccine count last Tuesday, July 27 with 1,160 administered doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

The number surpassed the recorded highest single-day vaccination on Monday July 26 with 1,064 vials inoculated.

In a statement, City Information Officer Jhuliano Nazareno said the city government aims to inject over 6,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines supply allocation from the Department of Health to senior citizens (Group A2 priority).

As of July 26, some 2,545 senior citizens in the city were fully vaccinated.

“We expect that after this week, the fully vaccinated senior citizens will increase to over 8,000 out of the 18,000 total of senior citizens in the city,” he said.

Depending on the vaccine allocation it gets, San Carlos City targets to inoculate at least 1,000 individuals per day in six operational vaccination sites. (Jerick Pasiliao)
