IN line with the observance of the National Adolescent Immunization Month, the Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) through its Department of Pediatrics is offering free vaccine booster shots for youth this month.

Adolescents aged 13 to 18 may avail of free booster shots of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) and measles–mumps-rubella (MMR) at the center’s Out-Patient clinic located at the 2nd floor of Training & Eye Center Building.

R1MC said the patients who wish to avail of the free vaccines must set an appointment with the center’s Out-Patient Department.

The clinic is open from Mondays to Fridays, while those who will avail of the MMR vaccines will be catered to only every Wednesday.

R1MC advised that a parent or guardian should accompany youth under 18 years.

The free vaccines are available at the clinic from 8 a.m. to 12 noon from Mondays to Fridays of August. (PIA Pangasinan)
