THE Provincial Health Office (PHO) refuted reports that the comfort rooms at the Western Pangasinan District Hospital (WPDH) are dirty.

PHO chief Dr. Anna de Guzman said the provincial government under the leadership of Governor Amado Espino III is very particular when it comes to orderliness and cleanliness of provincial offices and provincial government-run hospitals.

She said if the comfort room was found dirty on that particular time after some visitors used it, that could not have possibly stayed in that state very long since the Institutional Workers (IW) would have cleaned it right away.

De Guzman explained that aside from maintaining the cleanliness of hospitals, IW also assist patients scheduled for X-Ray, CT-Scan and bringing patients to wards.

IWs also ensure the needs of the nurse station, oxygen of the patients and collects garbage waste in wards.

She asked the public to be considerate to hospital employees who’ve been at the frontline since last year, working tirelessly and should not be easily accused of dereliction of duty.

De Guzman appealed to patient’s watchers to cooperate and help maintain cleanliness in the hospital premises. (Jerick Pasiliao)
