2 dead, 2 hurt in electrocution incidents

TWO died while two others were injured in separate electrocution incidents on Aug. 4 in Natividad and in Pozorrubio.

Jonel John Salinas, 45, a resident of Barangay Pao, Manaoag town was declared dead on arrival at the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital in Tayug town while Aron Agbayani, 21 and Rienel Gaudiano, 24, both from Tabang, Plaridel, Bulacan are undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

The victims, all linemen of Best Advance Communication Solution Inc., were installing a concrete post for a telecommunication company in Barangay Poblacion West in Natividad town when the post accidentally touched the high voltage wire of the Pangasinan Electric Cooperative III.

Meanwhile, George Henry Frianela, 21, a resident of Barangay Bobonan in Pozorrubio town, also died after he was electrocuted when he accidentally held the scaffolding made of steel that touched a live electric wire at the construction site in Fenoy St., Poblacion District 1 in Pozorrubio.

Frianela was brought to Pozorrubio Community Hospital by his co-workers but was declared dead on arrival. (Eva Visperas)
