AS of last week, 365,419 Pangasinenses eligible for vaccination in the province have been inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines.

This was disclosed by Provincial Health Office (PHO) chief Dr. Anna De Guzman, with a breakdown: 165 were inoculated with the first dose while 82,998 received the full dose of the vaccines.
Among those considered fully vaccinated were 115,256 Pangasinenses who were immunized with one dose of the Janssen vaccine.

The PHO said the total vaccines administered translate to 18.5 percent of the targeted 1,975,000 eligible population.

De Guzman said the vaccine has been proven effective based on monitoring and data analysis of COVID-19 patients in hospitals.

She said the data is showing that most of COVID-19 cases in hospitals are unvaccinated and urged senior citizens with comorbidities in particular, to proceed to vaccination sites because they are a priority. (PIA Pangasinan/ EMSA)
