Oplan Libreng Tuli in Calasiao
SOME 150 young boys benefited from Oplan Libreng TULI organized by the Liga ng mga Barangay President Mamilyn Caramat in Calasiao.
On June 8, a medical team from the Region 1 Medical Center, trooped to Barangay Dinalaoan for the circumcision of the beneficiaries that also included boys from Barangays of Lumbang, Ambuetel, Nagsaing, Malabago and Songkoy.
The first Oplan Libreng Tuli was held on May 13 in Nalsian, where Caramat is the barangay captain, also Barangays Poblacion East, Poblacion West, Quesban and Talibaew.
Caramat said there will be other Oplan Libreng Tuli missions that will be undertaken once more uncircumcised boys are listed.
She said as a mother, she knows the excitement of a son who wishes to be circumcised but could not do so because of poverty, so she thought of bringing the medical service in the barangays because of movement restrictions of minors. (Eva Visperas)
