DOH: 95% of region‘s frontliners inoculated

NEARLY 95% of all medical frontliners, commonly categorized as A1 individuals, have been inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines.

This was bared by Dr. Rheuel Bobis, COVID-19 focal person of the Department of Health – Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) Region 1.

The 95 percent, which translates to 75,122 individuals, were already inoculated their first doses of vaccines, while around 39,050, or 49.23 percent have completed their two doses.

Meanwhile, 12 percent, or 65,825 senior citizens in the region have received their first dose of vaccines, while around 3,957 received both doses.

In the A3 priority group, or the persons with comorbidities, Bobis said 12% or 15,535 persons were inoculated with the first dose, while only 61 individuals, of 0.05 percent completed their second.

In sum, the DOH-CHD Region 1 has recorded 156, 473 individuals inoculated with the first dose, while around 43,060 completed their vaccination rounds.

The CHD targets to vaccinate 100 percent of the A1 priority list in the region with both first and second doses. (Ahikam Pasion)
