COMELEC’S MOBILE APP

THE voters’ registration form mobile application of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) can now be accessed in 18 pilot areas in Pangasinan to make registration process easier and faster for both the agency and the voters amid the pandemic.

The pilot areas that have access to the mobile application are Bolinao, Mangatarem, Urbiztondo, Basista, Labrador, Bugallon, Bayambang, Alcala, Sto. Tomas, Sison, Villasis, Urdaneta City, Asingan, Natividad, Rosales, San Nicolas, San Quintin and Sta. Maria.

Lawyer Marino Salas, Comelec provincial election supervisor, said the mobile application can be downloaded through the link bit.ly/MobileFormApp. Once the app is installed, the user can apply for voter registration even without internet connection.

Upon successful filling out of the application form for voter registration, a quick response (QR) code will be generated.

“When visiting their local COMELEC office, the user will only need to present their QR code to the COMELEC officer for scanning and their biometrics can be taken instantly after printing the form,” said Salas. (PIA Pangasinan- EMSA)
