S-PASS (Safe, Swift and Smart Passage) will soon be fully implemented in Pangasinan.

This was assured after the Management Information Services Office (MISO) presented an update on the implementation of S-PASS in Pangasinan to members of the Technical Working Group on April 21.

S-PASS is a new paperless app launched by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) that offers a convenient and safe way to process travel authority online for local travelers. It will also help and benefit LGUs in recording and monitoring in real time, traveler’s information or those going in and out of their respective localities.

S-PASS is currently implemented by 20 towns in the province and each has a designated focal person for the project. MISO chief Modesto Singson is the focal person in Pangasinan.

To use S-PASS, traveler must open account on s-pass.ph using phone number; check for travel protocol and restriction; apply for travel coordination permit; upload photo/scanned copy of requirements needed; wait for the application to be approved for a maximum of two days,; save/print your approved travel coordination permit (TCP), present your TCP to the checkpoint to scan.

S-PASS Infographics will soon be posted at the official Facebook account of the province as well as in the PDRRMO page and other line agencies. (PIO/RRB)
