119 police health personnel get Sinovac jab
THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) reported that 119 police health personnel from various police stations in the province received their first dose of Sinovac vaccine.
PPPO spokesperson P/Maj. Arturo Melchor Jr said the inoculation was administered by the PNP provincial health service and the Provincial Health Office (PHO).
“All the police stations in Pangasinan sent their representatives to participate in the vaccination based on the list they submitted,” Melchor said.
Most of the participants were nurses and medical technologists who monitor the health status of the police personnel in different stations.
He said the second dose of the vaccine will soon be inoculated once the additional supply becomes available.
“Here at PPPO, we are always prepared to administer the vaccination of our colleagues in the police service so we can continuously perform our duties during this time of pandemic,” he added.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 cases among the police personnel in Pangasinan is seen to be declining with only nine active cases out of the 196 total Pangasinan police infected with the virus. (Jerick Pasiliao)
