Sison town belies rumored lockdown
THE Sison municipal government here belied malicious reports that the town will be placed on lockdown.
Through its Facebook page on Monday, the local government branded the news circulating on social media about planned lockdown of the whole town as fake and malicious.
In refuting the fake news, the Sison government only placed some barangays under granular lockdown to control the local transmission of the COVID-19 and per data of the Provincial Health Office, the town only has six active cases.
Meanwhile the town’s local inter-agency task force appealed to the public not to post misleading and unconfirmed news reports because these lead to confusion among netizens. (Jerick Pasiliao)
