PDEA-PANGASINAN POLICE JOINT OPERATION

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Pangasinan Provincial Police Office (PPPO), and Dagupan City Police succeeded in dismantling a notorious drug den in Dagupan City that resulted in the arrest of a high-value target and several other persons.

The anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation took place Tuesday, September 10, in Burgos Street, Barangay IV.

Arrested key suspects associated with the drug den operations were suspected maintainer Rex Gringo Estandian, 37, resident of Brgy. Dalanguiring in Urbiztondo, , and his co-maintainer Mark Titos Rogers, 26, from Brgy. Malabago, Calasiao.

Rechie Camacho, PDEA-Pangasinan provincial officer, said Estandian was the subject of the operation, but they chanced upon other persons in the flood-ridden house in the act of using shabu.

Also nabbed were Bryan Reyes, 34, from Brgy. Poblacion Urbiztondo, Noel De Guzman, 44, also from Poblacion, Urbiztondo, and Anthony Casin, 42, resident of Amancoro, Binmaley.

“Bahang-baha sa lugar nila pero nagpunta pa itong mga ito para tumira ng shabu”, said Camacho.

Seized during the operation was one package of suspected shabu, weighing approximately 0.3 grams, valued at P1,000, which was sold to the undercover operative.

The dismantling of the drug den also yielded eight transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 8 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of P22,400 and confiscation of drug paraphernalia, cellphones, and two motorcycles.

Camacho said Estandian was already jailed twice for illegal drugs.

“Pabalik-balik ito sa kulungan, kakalabas lang two years ago, tapos bumalik nanaman sa paglalako,” he said.

Estandian and Rogers were renting the house in Burgos Street, Dagupan City, which served as their headquarters and one-stop shop for patrons.

The suspects will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Ahikam Pasion)
