OVER A LAND INHERITANCE

ANOTHER land dispute among siblings in San Carlos City caused a man to stab his younger brother in Barangay Lipas, last December 23.

Stabbed by his 51-year-old brother Wilfredo Ramos, Jolly Ramos, 50, was stabbed in the head, leg and arm and was rushed to the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital. Fotunately, Jolly survived the attack.

Investigation showed that Jolly went to visit the piece of land he inherited from their parents, when Wilfredo, who was drunk, approached and confronted him about his share of the land. The arguments let to a serious altercation.

Based on the initial investigation of the San Carlos City Police, P/Captain Renan Dela Cruz, information officer of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, said in the middle of their heated argument, Wilfredo allegedly grabbed an ice pick and stabbed Jolly. Not satisfied with what he did to his younger brother, Wilfredo took a bolo and wounded his brother’s neck.

Jolly is presently recovering in their home after receiving treatment for his stab wounds.

Wilfredo was later arrested by the San Carlos City police and is facing a case of attempted murder. (Kim Gealogo)
