INCLUDING ‘BRIAN LIM’ IN POT SESSION

AGENTS from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested four individuals, leading to the dismantling of a drug den in Dagupan City. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug activities.

Arrested were identified as Ricardo Melecio, the alleged drug den maintainer, Ruben Corbilla, co-maintainer; Brian Lim (not the former Dagupan City mayor) and Bernard Moyano. All are residents of Dagupan City, (Lim and Moyano reside in Herrero-Perez).

The operation began as a buy-bust operation at Melecio’s residence in Nueva, Barangay II & III. During the operation, an undercover PDEA agent purchased one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu from Melecio, who was in the middle of a drug session with others.

Once the sale was completed, the undercover agent gave a signal that led to the swift entry of other PDEA agents into the house. All four suspects were apprehended.

Authorities seized more than 23 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of around P160,000, along with the marked buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are currently in PDEA custody and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, which pertains to illegal drugs. (Ahikam Pasion)
