THIRTEEN local government units in Pangasinan were honored by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for their excellent performance in the campaign against illegal drugs during the 2023 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Award held at Crown Plaza Hotel, Quezon City last November 22.

The ceremony was led by DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr.

Awardees were: Anda, Basista, Burgos, Calasiao, Malasiqui, Mangatarem, Mapandan, San Manuel, Sta. Barbara, Sta. Maria, Tayug, Urbiztondo and Alaminos City.

In his speech, Secretary Abalos lauded the active support provided by the top performing local governments in promoting programs and campaigns against illegal drugs in the country.

All 13 towns and city were certified as drug-cleared by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Pangasinan. (Kim Gealogo)
