THE family of a domestic helper from Dagupan City who was reportedly murdered in Saudi Arabia by her fellow migrant worker from another country is crying for justice.

The body of the victim, Marjorette Biay Garcia, 32, of Bonuan Boquig, Dagupan City, and married to Tito Garcia of Barangay Awai, San Jacinto, is still in Saudi Arabia, yet to be repatriated to the Philippines.

Her husband, Tito, sensed something was wrong when he could not contact Marjorette through her cellular phone for weeks.

It was on September 27 when someone in Saudi Arabia called him to inform that his wife died and her body was in a morgue.

It was learned that the suspect who stabbed and killed Marjorette was already arrested by the Saudi police, and is now under investigation.

Meanwhile, the Garcia family is hoping the Department of Migrant Workers can expedite the processing for the immediate repatriation of Marjorette’s body to the Philippines. (IFM Dagupan News)
