Two  persons lose P300K to holdup men in Mangaldan

SOME P300,000 cash were taken by unidentified armed men from two persons transacting business in Barangay Salay, Mangaldan recently.

The victims, Rhea Tubera, a sales agent, and Eduardo Rullan, a businessman, both of Mangaldan were negotiating the sale of palay when two unidentified men riding a motorcycle, one armed with Cal. 45 pistol, approached Tubera.

Tubera was forced to hand over her P70,000 cash while  Rullan’s P220,000 intended as payment for the palay was taken forcibly from him.

Before leaving on board their motorcycle, the suspects fired one shot in the air to scare both Tubera and Rullan.

Two OFW victims of abuse from Bayambang, repatriated 

TWO Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from Bayambang returned home from their work abroad after being maltreated by their respective employers.

One was working in Kuwait and another was in Malaysia. Both who received harrowing experiences from their abusive employers, asked their relatives to seek help from local authorities so they can be repatriated.

The two were finally able to return home after the Municipal Public Employment Services Office (MESO) coordinated with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Department of Migrant Workers for the repatriation of the two. (Jhon Caranto/ IFM Dagiupan)
