Two helpers nabbed for selling ‘fake’ yosi
TWO women were arrested in an entrapment operation after selling ‘fake’ cigars in Infanta town on Tuesday, September 27.
Suspects Roxanne Mejos, 31, and Karen Rose Marzan, 26 both helpers and residents of Barangay Doliman, were nabbed by operatives from the Infanta Municipal Police, and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG). The suspects were involved in selling counterfeit cigarettes.
The authorities recovered the marked money, along with more than 600 reams of counterfeit cigarettes under their custody.
The suspects were charged for violation of RA 10643, or the Graphic Health Warning Law, and RA 8293, the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines. (Ahikam Pasion)
