Jealous former lover stabs couple
A COUPLE sustained injuries after being stabbed by a jealous man in Sta. Barbara on Sunday, August 7.
Victims Jerome Muelle Dayrit, 39, and Marie Mae Juan, 27, both residents of Barangay Poblacion Norte in Sta. Barbara town, were sleeping in their house when they heard a loud thud outside their house.
When they came into, they saw suspect Nikki Mark Dalope, 28, resident of Barangay Tuliao climb through their window, and quickly stabbed the couple in different parts of their body.
Dalope immediately ran away, and the couple were rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment.
Police investigation shows Juan and the suspect Dalope were formerly in a relationship, and that the incident was due to the latter’s jealousy at the former’s newfound love.
Police are still on the hunt for Dalope. (Ahikam Pasion)
